- Give them one simple goal to achieve at a time.
- Assist team-members in better planning strategies to achieve the goal.
- Clearly define jobs for each team-member.
- Make them passionate about there job, this is the most difficult task a leader have to take. Invent ideas to do so.
- Assist team members in taking the ‘right decision’; not short-cuts.
- Make them confident. Educate each member about their strengths and weaknesses, and tell how they can increase strengths and hide weaknesses by doing as a team.
- Assist them in taking risky decisions; make them feel that you are always behind them. Or as they say “Make them free their minds.”
- Let them make their own way; no successful team can be a copy of other. Blinding following a person or team will destroy the future of team/business.
- Prevent them from taking bad decisions; over-confidence is a dangerous thing than no-confidence.
- Keep them upbeat. This is one another difficult task. Remember true performance come under pressure.
