Gone are the days where a small number of skillful talented and dedicated employees make a business successful. Today’s businesses have a variety of product, marketing, sales and management strategies which do require teams for every purpose, systems to assist teams and managers and technologies to integrate teams’ working. A corporate team building strategy must have following basic requirements.
- A team building model: corresponding to the business size, industry, product, marketing and sales practices, etc.
- Goals: both short-term and long-term ones. Must correspond to the companies reputation, growth and technologic advancements.
- Analyzes: Team for different purposes must differ. Analysis of company’s and each team’s strengths and weaknesses to their purpose is important.
- Combination: No businesses can build a team with perfect persons, what make a team good is right ingredients at right proportion.
- Division of labor and responsibility: always make team members feel that they are most needed for the system.
- Continuity and consistency: this is the most neglected factor. Make all team-members feel that they are always in the team.
- Evaluations: this is important to know the progresses and weak links. Timely evaluations help to make corrections in team building practices.
