Small and medium businesses contribute immensely for the stability and growth of a country’s economy. Every government across the world thus try to protect and help SMBs by providing subsidies, tax benefits, importing regulations, bonuses, incentives, loans, etc. The best place for finding this information can be government websites (concerned to industry, small business, etc).

Here are some of those programs for US small and medium businesses.
  • 8(a) Business Development program – for small and disadvantaged businesses.
  • Small Disadvantages Business (SDB) program – with some regulations. 8(a) firms automatically qualified for it.
  • Disaster assistance program – as emergency help for rebuilding of business after disasters.
  • Financial assistance programs – this include a number of programs for business development and disaster recovery. These include programs like 7(a), 504 and disaster assistance loans.
  • In addition to above there are some special plans and programs for women, native Americans, veterans and young entrepreneurs.
  • In addition to these programs many government rules with respect to economic situations (like inflammation, recession, etc) help SMBs to get easy loans, tax benefits, etc from banks and local bodies.
