Better E-Mail Marketing Ideas
We have already discussed the advantages of e-mail marketing, its basic steps and how to make them effective. Here are some more tips and ideas which can help you in making your e-mail marketing practice even better.
- Write as if you are writing to some one you love most. In business the persons we love most is of course our customers. Try to educate, help and support them as if they are your family member.
- Never use your newsletter for mere advertising. It is good to highlight features, comparison reports, technical details, etc than to just saying “We are the best....”.
- Develop and update a mailing list after proper editing, remember you want customers not contacts.
- Always keep something interesting in your newsletter. Like an interesting GIF image, link to an interesting news/video, a puzzle, some tips, etc. This can keep you in Inbox.
- If your business isn’t so big enough, never send newsletters too often. Keep one or two week interval. Too much mailing simply means position among ‘Spammers’.
- Try to match your mail theme with respect to the season or occasion.
- Keep an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It increases credibility.
- Use a good mailing service that does not harm your reputation, that costs you low and that is scalable and reliable.
