What Customers Want from a Company

Every customer has unique anticipations and expectations from a company/business/professional he/she dealing with. Good customer service clearly means rising up to these expectations. Here are some common expectations from customers from a company.

  • Attention – that they are noticed and welcomed; and are treated individually.
  • Reputation – that they are valuable to your company; and you respect his/her knowledge and buying power.
  • A good listener with a smiling face – who responds to their enquiries and gives suggestions and guides them in whole purchasing process.
  • Quality product – we think no customers return to you if you provide low quality products/services.
  • Value-for-money and time.
  • Tension free buying process – lest conflict with their tastes and ideas.
  • After sale service – this requirement has given priority by customers if you are providing products which do require timely services.
  • Little anticipation – many customer won’t express their feelings and requirements straight away, they want you to figure it out for them.
  • Some surprise or bonus. Every customer expect some difference in treatment every time they visit you; after all same experience every time make all bored.
