Business Time Management Tips for Managers

Time management is always a difficult job and almost all managers complains about it. But there are plenty of opportunities in front of managers to save time and concentrate more on his work. Here are some tips for effective business time management.

  • Keep good division of labor: Give every one the work he/she deserves, and make the goals clear.
  • Keep only reasonable work load on your shoulders.
  • Empower your sub-ordinates to take decisions, so that you only have to approve/reject it or to take the final decision on a subject or to choose from alternatives.
  • Schedule things properly – keep a time table for doing specific tasks, like morning hours for some brainstorming activities, noon hours for managing office activities and communicating employees, and evening hours for checking and sending mails, and so on.
  • Never spend too much time on things you are not so good at, and things which do not need much of your attendance.
  • Keep good relationship with specialists; if you realize that you are not good at some thing, call them they can guide/help you.
  • Properly arrange meetings, so that you can effectively spend the time in between them.
  • Keep a good scheduling system, which is always modified and up-to-dated.
