Keeping Constant Customer Contact - Tips

Keeping your customers interested and satisfied on you is the best business strategy, but most difficult one to follow. Many companies lose their precious customers even if they provide highest-grade sales service; only because they fail to keep their touch with the customers. Here are some tips for keeping constant customer contact.

  • The best and cheapest way of constant customer contact is newsletters. It works effectively when you have large customer base, plenty of leads in hand, and when you are introducing or updating products frequently.
  • Special letters, cards and greetings for specific/general customers are effective for shorter periods, and good for businesses which concentrate on special occasions, like birthdays, Christmas and New Year, etc.
  • Frequently calling your customers for a casual talk is another option, but it can be costly and may not be a good option if you are dealing with many customers.
  • Calling customers a day after their purchase and asking about the product can make a big impact of ‘Caring’ on them. This options work especially well when you are offering high-cost high quality products such as high cost machines, vehicles, luxury furniture, etc.
  • Frequent seminars or webinars, meetings, and surveys are also good option for keeping constant customer contact, especially your are dealing with some highly technical products/services or when in need for frequent customer feedbacks.
  • Companies should take on-site after sale services as a method of keeping customer contact warm. This is an excellent option when companies have enough number of reps (especially local reps) for each target area.
