Increased business competition is the main feature of today’s business world and in every industry or sector there are more number of companies and products that would there be. Some companies/products loss their ground eventually, others thrive and new ones come in regularly. Successful businessmen take increased business competition as a chance to perform better.

Evaluation of business competition of your industry is necessary especially if you are starting a new company or introducing a new product. Here are some tips for competition analysis.

  • First thing - find out who is your competitor. You think MNCs of your industry is your main competitor, think again, they won’t be.
  • Find out how they established themselves as your competitor. What the ways, technologies, marketing practices and tools they have used for that.
  • Figure out who their practices and tools are performing now, is they still aggressive or on the diminishing path.
  • Be a detective – so that you can figure out how good is their product, customer service, employee power, etc.
  • Figure out the correct message they give from their practices; you will often end with the finding that most of your competitors work in same manner with similar message and only a handful will be innovative and really competitive.
  • Find your path, which must be unique and effective.
