Writing Effective Press Releases

Press releases are always considered as one of the most powerful advertising and product marketing method; especially when lots of media around you. Below are some tips that you should consider when writing a good press release.

  • Keep it short and compact; it reduces money costs and produces more impact.
  • Invest an attention grabbing heading for your PR.
  • Be keen to include information about your product or company.
  • Highlight your product and service
  • Be careful of using negative words or phrases
  • Neatly format the PR body using bold and/or italics. Use inappropriate capitalization
  • It is always good to use one or two testimonials about your product.
  • Include some statistics; that makes the reader stick on to your product.
  • Include a summary in one or two sentences as conclusion.
  • Be careful of repeating sentences with same content repeatedly.
  • Always be keen on the flow of your content. Read it many times and also demand others to do so.
  • Never write your PR in a manner that rise unanswered questions in readers mind. Every thing they need must be there or at least hint to where they can find them.
