But most meetings have become boring practices, for all those involved in it. So how can you conduct a business meeting successfully?

  • Clearly define the agenda to team-members; so they can prepare.
  • Plan the meeting with respective to objective; discussion, progress reporting, strategy or event planning, sharing or collecting information, solving a problem, or decision making.
  • Allot time for each and every member so that no one is kept out.
  • Cheer them up or introduce new suggestions when you find that it is boring.
  • Stay open-minded, never support a view point unless at the time of decision making.
  • Tactfully avoid possible conflicts between team-members.
  • Clearly announce the decisions and problems yet to be resolved
  • Finish meetings on time; taking more than fixed time regularly can harm the positive mentality of your employees.
