Factors that Determine Success of a Business Change

Change in tactics, plans and processes are very important for survival in this high competition business environment. But all changes not necessarily earn desired goals; some can even spoil your business. There are many factors which determine the success of any business change.

• Clarity of goals. Making changes for just making changes can hurt you. Clearly define your goals.
• The degree of change. It is always good to make minor changes swiftly and major changes gradually.
• Flexibility in your organization. Your workforce and business systems have to flexible enough to accept the changes. You can’t successfully implement a change that is against most of your employees.
• Good communication among workforce and management. Keeping things secret can harm you lethally.
• The availability of resources. You can’t initiate a change without any preparation
• The success of previous changes. Workforce responses will be very good if your previous changes have earned good results. If on the opposite way they will be regret any change.
• The overall management. Workforces do not respond to ineffective managements.
