Factors that Determine Success of a Business Change

Change in tactics, plans and processes are very important for survival in this high competition business environment. But all changes not necessarily earn desired goals; some can even spoil your business. There are many factors which determine the success of any business change.

  1. Clarity of goals. Making changes for just making changes can hurt you. Clearly define your goals.
  2. The degree of change. It is always good to make minor changes swiftly and major changes gradually.
  3. Flexibility in your organization. Your workforce and business systems have to flexible enough to accept the changes. You can’t successfully implement a change that is against most of your employees.
  4. Good communication among workforce and management. Keeping things secret can harm you lethally.
  5. The availability of resources. You can’t initiate a change without any preparation
  6. The success of previous changes. Workforce responses will be very good if your previous changes have earned good results. If on the opposite way they will be regret any change.
  7. The overall management. Workforces do not respond to ineffective managements.
