- The first thing is to find your exact competitors. If you ask most small business managers who is their main competitor they save names of large corporation, it is always the case. If only large corporations can survive there wouldn’t be small businesses.
- You can prepare a competitor list by searching of yellow pages, search engines, advertisements, etc.
- Classify your competitors according to their size, performance, marketing strategies and customer base is important. Also look on the recent growth of the competitors and the strategies they follow.
- Be customer of your competitors. This may seem funny, but you can experience personally that how did they are performing and how effective are their strategies.
- Investigate your strengths and explore all your resources.
- Be open-minded, if you loss some thing never frustrate, you can still make it. Failures and losses are greatest teachers and vaccination against diseases needs injection of disease causers.
- Be always confident and let your competitors to feel insecure all times.
- Remember without competition there is no winner and there is no quality service.
